Over the years this model had collected a lot of dust and the varnish on the desk had deteriorated so a major clean up effort was required here.  The sails and rigging had lost their structural integrity due to age so had to be replaced.

The masts and rigging were removed to allow full access to the deck.  Here we see the deck after it was cleaned up and re-varnished.  The deck fittings were repainted.

Here we see a profile of the completed model with new paint on the hull and the sails and rigging have been replaced.
