Paul's Schooner Restoration

As you can see from this image the model required significant work to bring it to pristine condition.
The paint was faded, the woodwork was damaged from exposure to water and age.  The word
"Bluenose" had been painted on the deck.

The hull and deck were stripped of old paint and repainted.  All of the woodwork was replaced and the
brass polished.  The tube providing a step for the mast was replaced.  A stand was built so the model
could be displayed properly.

To complete the restoration new sails will be made and mounted on the mast.  Rigging will be added to
stabilize the mast and to control the sails and rudder.

The restoration is complete.

Profile of the model.  The hull and deck have been coated with Epoxy to waterproof
it.

The bowsprit and clew of the jib sail.  The masts and rigging are detachable from the deck so that they can
be removed for transport.
