The Figurehead Unlike most merchant ships on the Great Lakes the Nancy carried a figurehead. It is believed to be a likeness of either John Richardson's wife or daughter. There are no pictures of the original figurehead but documentation indicates it was fully clothed woman with a hat sporting a feather.
Photos of the figurehead next to a dime to show it's scale.
